69th National Film Awards: On October 17th, 2023, a ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, where the National Award winners were felicitated by none other than President Droupadi Murmu. The winners were previously announced at a press conference for the 69th National Film Awards in August. A total of 280 feature films from 28 languages and 158 non-feature films in 23 languages were submitted to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for National Award consideration. Alia Bhatt, who won the award for Best Actress for her performance in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi,' arrived at the venue wearing her wedding saree. Allu Arjun, who became the first actor from the Telugu film industry to win a National Award in the Best Actor category for the superhit film 'Pushpa' While Kriti Sanon shared the National Award for Best Actress with Alia Bhatt for her brilliant performance in 'Mimi,'.
