Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Supriya Sule on Tuesday called the Central Government’s decision to reduce the prices of cooking gas cylinders as a ‘Jumla’ (political gimmick) and said that the government never thought about inflation over the past four and a half years. Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the reduction in prices of cooking gas cylinders will make the lives of women easier. Effective Wednesday, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will be reduced by Rs 200 across the country. Announcing this decision, I&B Anurag Thakur shared the government's commitment to easing the burden on citizens.

Ishwar Gayakar (36) and his wife, who hails from Pune's Junnar taluka, do not intend to stop at this. The farmer couple has set a target to earn ₹3.5 crore with a stock of around 4000 crates of tomatoes available with him. Gaykar is farming since 2005. He took over farming from his father and now he works at his farm with his wife. Other than tomatoes, Gaykar also cultivates onions and flowers in respective seasons.
