Following the Kuwait fire tragedy, a special IAF aircraft carrying mortal remains of 45 Indian victims reached Kerala on June 14. At least 45 people died after a fire broke out in a building housing workers in the city of Mangaf in southern Kuwait. Security was heightened and ambulances were deployed at the airport in Kochi. Union Minister Suresh Gopi also arrived at Cochin airport to receive the mortal remains of victims. All the arrangements were put in place to receive the mortal remains who died in the fire incident.

In a tragic incident, one naval ground crew member was killed after INS Chetak crashed at the Defence Airport inside the Naval Base Kochi. While speaking to the media on Kerala blasts, Kerala Health Minister Veena George informed that 3 people were killed and several people were severely injured. People were coming to the casualty ward, around 60 people sought treatment from different hospitals, and one was brought dead. Furthermore, she added that the priority at present is to save lives and that maximum support is being given.

Soon after the Kerala blasts incident, the blame game began as the BJP held the Kerala Government responsible. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar held CM Vijayan responsible for the deadly incident. Kerala CM strongly reacted to Chandrasekhar’s remarks and said, “Those who are spitting poison will keep spitting poison”. On the other hand, Union Minister Anurag Thakur condemned Kerala's multiple blasts. He said that the State’s MP Rahul Gandhi’s complete silence on this shows that Congress is silently supporting them. Adding further, he said Congress and the Communist Party are silently supporting them and are not taking action. Multiple explosions hit the Jehovah’s Witness prayers meeting in Kochi on October 29. Three persons lost their lives in the tragic incident and around 36 were severely injured.
