Civil Aviation Minister Naidu emphasized the drive to produce indigenous planes, with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at the forefront, leveraging its experience with a 119-seater aircraft. A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be established, consisting of industry experts to manage the development of domestic aircraft, while initially sourcing some components and engines externally.
