13 July,2024 06:34 PM ISTTwo days after the Reasi terror attack, another disturbing incident unfolded in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, as terrorists targeted a residential area in the Hiranagar sector on June 11. The two terrorists who had opened fire in a village in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua late last night have been killed in an encounter. A paramilitary soldier was also killed in action during the exchange of fire. According to Ashwani, who witnessed the Kathua Terrorist Attack on June 11, two young men aged around 24-25, dressed in black and carrying AK-47 rifles, were spotted around 7:30 to 8:00 PM. They asked for water, but Ashwani suspected they were militants. He warned nearby children to go inside and alerted authorities. Two minutes later, gunfire erupted for about 20 minutes, followed by a large explosion, possibly from a grenade. Ashwani contacted DDC Abhinandan Sharma, and police arrived around half an hour later. One attacker was killed, and the other escaped.
