22 August,2024 02:52 PM ISTThe Delhi Airport has received a bomb threat on a Varanasi-bound IndiGo flight on May 28. A tissue paper, with the word ‘bomb’ written on it, was found in the Indigo flight 6E2211 from lavatory at the airport. Soon after the authorities received info, the aircraft has been moved to an isolation bay for investigation. As per the Airport Official, the Aviation security and a bomb disposal team rushed to the spot to tackle any possible danger. All the passenger onboarding the IndiGo flight were evacuated through the emergency door. According to Delhi Fire Service, all passengers are safe and flight is being inspected. Post the completion of all security checks, the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax, informed a senior CISF official. Watch video for more.
28 May,2024 11:13 AM ISTNearly 100 schools in Delhi-NCR received bomb threats via email on May 1, warning them of bombs on their premises, Police have initiated search operations following the alerts. Initial investigations suggest multiple Delhi schools have received similar emails of bomb threat in Delhi. Meanwhile, Delhi Government’s Directorate of Education has issueed advisory to schools after the hoax call directing the school authorities to inform immediately to the concerned DDE and the Delhi Police. According to details, the probe will be done by the Counter Intelligence Team Special Cell. Meanwhile, IFSO unit is also trying to find out the origin from where the mail was sent, added the agency, saying, the connection to Russia – IP address – has been revealed. Apart from this, the probing agency is also probing the angle of joint conspiracy between China and ISI.

Bomb detection teams and Delhi Fire Service officials have been rushed to the schools after bomb threat in Delhi. Several schools vacated and students were evacuated following the bomb threat mails. The schools include DPS Dwarka, DPS Noida, Sanskriti School Chanakyapuri, and Mother Mary School, Mayur Vihar. Delhi Police said that the mail is being traced and appealed to students, parents “not to panic”. School authorities also quickly responded and sent the students back to their homes. Fire Officer JB Singh reached Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar and said that the teams did not find anything.
