Tommy Haas was almost left shirtless for his French Open fourth round tie yesterday after a mix-up over his playing gear.
The German 35-year-old arrived at Roland Garros only to discover that shirts he had left at the tournament laundry service on Saturday night were not ready. “I dropped off my laundry two days ago after the (John) Isner match.

I know it was late. But today, first match at 11:00, I showed up in the locker room and I asked for my physio to get my laundry. He comes back and says, It won’t be here till 2:00,” said Haas. “So then I was like, okay, that’s great.
So somebody had to go back to the hotel and bring the other four, five shirts I left there. They came in time before the match. I was happy to have clothes today to wear.” Haas went onto beat Mikhail Youzhny of Russia to become the third oldest man to reach the QF in Paris.u00a0
