Opener Tamim Iqbal (60 off 42) set Bangladesh off to a flying start in their crucial ODI against India on Thursday.
Tamim's gracious knock included 10 boundaries and a six. When the southpaw was looking set for a real big one, he mistimed a pull shot off S Sreesanth and hit it straight into the hands of Gautam Gambhir and midwicket.
When Tamim was dismissed, Bangladesh were 80 for one in 11 overs. Imrul Kayes (16 not out) was then joined by Mohammad Ashraful.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan surprised one and all when he decided to bat first against India after winning the toss in a crucial tri-series tie.
In both the matches s far, teams bowling under lights have suffered immensely due to the dew factor. The ball has got so wet that the bowlers have struggled to grip the ball.
Yet, Shakib decided to bat first after winning the toss. Naturally, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was "happy" to chase a total instead of defending it.
While India fielded an unchanged side from their Tuesday's loss to Sri Lanka, Syed Rasel replaced Shafiul Islam for Bangladesh from the XI that lost to Sri Lanka on Monday.
