John Mayer has a new song out, from a new album that will be with us in July. Trust him to call it Sob Rock. How apt. All hail John! Here are three Mayer songs to tide you through the week.

1 Last train home: This is old school rock at its best. Once again, John sings about feelings us 40-year-olds go through. It’s all about being on the last train home,
when something isn’t working out anymore. We are all with him.
2 I guess I just feel like: Some days we go on, and some days we want to just give up. Mayer sings about despair, only in a way he can, with a bluesy riff that will make you appreciate his guitar skills once again. This man is talented!
3 Carry me away: And like all of us, above the age of 35, who have got tired of living the safe life, this one is a call for living wildly. “Put some of your tequila in my coffee cup.” Yes, please!
