Rock ’n’ Rolla at Lolla

At Lollapalooza this weekend? Here’s what you can experience apart from the music. Firstly, the 14-foot-tall music mandala constructed on the grounds harks back to Book A Smile’s aim to democratise music and make it accessible for all. Then, there are the Hip-Hop Cyphers, a group of young rappers and beatboxers, who will be busking on the premises.

Keeping with its theme of sustainability, the event-booking platform also has trendy sunglasses made from recycled chip packets at one of the stalls. And of course, don’t miss the giant Lollapalooza inflatable with the Indian flag, as well as the cool merchandise on sale: crop tops, shirts, sippers, and coasters.

Aarti Desai, 41 Animal therapist

>>>
AVAILABLE FOR: Bach flower therapy for animals
PRICE: Rs 500 to Rs 2,000
CONTACT: @thehealingtribe_
It was around eight years ago, when Aarti Desai’s dog was suffering an ailment that finally led him across the rainbow bridge, that she began to look for alternative therapy. She was trying to find some way to help animals through periods of ailment, and it was during this time that Desai came across Bach flower therapy, which she provides as a service today. “The Bach flowers that I use come from the UK and have less alcohol content. We distill their essence and dilute it further before we administer it as drops to cats, dogs and even fishes and birds, when they are feeling anxious depressed. The drops can be added to the animals’ food or their favourite treats,” she says.
RECOMMENDED BY: Shivani Sharma I have been using Aarti’s Bach flower therapy for the stray animals I feed. I also have used it for my dog, who has skin issues, as well as my cat. It’s highly recommended for animal emotional regulation.
