Narendra Grewal defeated Sri Lanka's Tiran in the bantamweight bout of the Super Fight League on Friday.

The 19-year-old from Delhi won via technical knock out in the first round at the Filmalaya Studios. In another key bout, Jason Solomon from Delhi beat Mukesh Goha from Jaipur on the basis of a technical knockout in the second round.

Olympic bronze medalist MC Mary Kom was present at the venue. She said: “SFL has made an amazing progress in the last year and now with this new arena I think we can reach greater heights. The fightcard has been very well planned and I am looking forward to many more fights in the future.’’u00a0
