The Karl Umrigar Turf Championship, named after the most prodigal, and also the most short-lived, riding talent this country has seen, is the feature event of Sunday's nine-race card. The race is sponsored by Prive, and will be run over nine furlongs. Trainer Pesi Shroff, who happens to be the brother-in-law of the late jockey had won this race last year with Diego Rivera, and is also likely to repeat the feat this year.
