Rafael Nadal feels Sunday's Australian Open final against defending champion Novak Djokovic may have come too soon for his off-season adjustments to take full effect. Nadal said: "I'm trying to play a little bit more aggressive and hit more winners but the improvement I want is not complete.

"I haven't practised a lot with that so I need time to play with this aggressive plan during matches. I probably need a few more months and a few more tournaments." And while Nadal leads his overall head-to-head record with Djokovic 16-13, the World No 1 has had the upper hand recently, winning the last six, all finals.
"I'm happy with how I am doing," Nadal added, "but I don't know if it's going to be enough against him. I need to play a little better, in my opinion, to have a chance. But I think I am going the right way to compete against the best players in the world."
