Thereafter, World Championship bronze medallists Jwala and Ashwini Ponnappa were beaten by the Japanese duo of Mizuki Fujii and Reika Kakiiwa in women’s doubles group league tie.
The Indian women lost lost 16-21, 18-21 in 43 minutes. “It’s pretty shocking for it (scheduling blunder) to happen at the Olympics. It is such a big event. Two matches on a day can affect anyone,” said Jwala. u00a0
