Sometimes just Dhoni. Or sometimes MSD. Or Mahi. Or Thala. Or even 'Captain Cool'.
The greatest finisher. The man with the golden touch.
Former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has more epithets assigned to him than most other players of the game. And why wouldn't that be? The man is a no less than a legend, regarded as one of the best wicket-keepers and captains in modern limited-overs international cricket. He is also the only Indian captain to have led Team India to wins in all the three major ICC trophies—the World Cup in 2011, the T20 World Cup in 2007, and the Champions Trophy in 2013.
Be it on or off the field, Dhoni is always in the news, and always for good reasons. He is once again in fan discussions and this time for a job appointment letter offered to him in 2012.

Recently, an old job offer letter from his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2012 has resurfaced online, much to the delight of his fans. The documents confirm his post as a 'vice president' at Indian Cements.
However, it is the CSK captain's remuneration that has one and all stunned. According to a document that was shared by IPL Founder Lalit Modi in 2017, the Indian cricket legend is believed to have been offered a monthly salary of Rs. 43,000. It is worth remembering that the company is the owner of the CSK franchise.
Dhoni, around this time, was at the peak of his career, having led India to their second World Cup title in history just a year ago in 2011.
He was in fine touch with the willow during the entire IPL 2023 season where he played crucial cameo roles to guide Chennai to their record-leveling fifth title. Dhoni thus became the first-ever cricketer to feature in 250 IPL matches and also surpassed the 5000-run mark in tournament history. At CSK, Dhoni scored 4508 runs in 220 IPL matches at a strike rate of 137.48.
