AVB welcomes Modric apology

Luka Modric has apologised to Tottenham for skipping a US preseason tour and is back in training in London. Andre Villas-Boas welcomed the decision even if he doesn't expect the Croatian midfielder to remain with his club

“He has spoken to me and the chairman. His apology comes and it’s well welcomed,” Villas-Boas said after a preseason friendly that finished 1-1 with the LA Galaxy. “He’s now training and we hopefully make the right decision in the future. We’re just waiting on the bidding clubs to offer the right value for a player of big dimension.”
