Dinara Safina will look to justify her status as World No 1 by winning the French Open to claim the first Grand Slam of her career. The Russian has reached two Grand Slam finals but is yet to land a Major. She lost both showpieces in straight sets, to Ana Ivanovic in the last year's French Open and Serena Williams in this year's Australian Open. However, Safina sounded optimistic. "If I continue playing like I have been for the last three weeks, I stand a good chance," she said.
