"We are hurt with the term used by him. Though he did not directly say Parthiv is a donkey, he said so when my son dropped a catch," said Parthiv's father Ajay Patel from Ahmedabad. "I have not lodged a complaint to the Indian cricket board, but I am sure Hussain will be forced (by the BCCI) to apologise," Patel Sr said.
Hussain made the comment when Parthiv misjudged a Kevin Pietersen skier during a Munaf Patel over during Wednesday's T20 international. "Even when he is not keeping wicket, Parthiv's fielding is good. He is not as slow as a donkey," Patel added.
The term "donkey" is used in horse racing referring to unsuccessful horses in Britain. It may be recalled that Harbhajan Singh had reportedly called Andrew Symonds a monkey during an on-field spat at the SCG and was considered as a racist remark by match referee Mike Procter.
