Munaf gets hot under the collar

Erratic pacer Munaf Patel is an angry man.
It is not clear what irked Munaf, but the India pacer exchanged words with Kings XI Punjab’s opening batsmen Mandeep Singh and Nitin Saini after bowling the third over. Munaf was hammered for two fours and a couple in that over. The umpire had a word with him, but it didn’t end there. Ultimately, skipper Harbhajan Singh had to intervene to douse the fire.

The chants are back at Wankhede
After almost two weeks the chants of “Sachin, Sachin” were back at the Wankhede Stadium. Tendulkar made a comeback against Kings XI Punjab after missing four games due to a finger injury in the IPL opener against Chennai Super Kings on April 4. The batting legend enthralled everyone with his run-a-ball 23, which included three fours. The vociferous crowd backed every single shot that came off the Tendulkar’s blade. They roared louder when Parwinder Awana dropped him on 20. Tendulkar’s return also helped MI sorting out their opening woes. He and James Franklin (79) added 51 for the first wicket.

Who will win the Punjab Elections?
Will Bhajji regret final XI selection
While most Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have been demanding the inclusion of five foreign players in the playing XI instead of the prevailing quota of four, Mumbai Indians surprised all yesterday when they fielded only three overseas players in the XI against Kings XI Punjab — James Franklin, Kieron Pollard and Thisara Perera. By doing so, they became the first team in the IPL-V to field less than four foreigners. The overseas players warming the bench were Aiden Blizzard, Herschelle Gibbs, Davy Jacobs, Richard Levi, Clint McKay and Robin Peterson.
Injury to Lasith Malinga may have prompted skipper Harbhajan to give India pacer RP Singh another game. It may be recalled, MI created a stir when they got the allowance to field five foreigners in the last Champions League T20 because they did not have enough fit Indian cricketers.
