Mumbai schoolboy Khizar Dafedar is headed for England under an exchange programme for a six-week stint with Manchester's 158-year-old Cheadle Hulme School
Dafedar, a pupil at the Dilip Vengsarkar cricket academy, will focus on academics in the morning and play cricket with the first school XI in regular and local cup fixtures, according to the school’s headmistress and former England woman cricketer Lucy Pearson.u00a0
He will also gain some league exposure whilst in the UK. The initiative is an attempt to help talented Indian schoolboys to develop their cricketing talents in conditions different to those witnessed in the Indian sub-continent while also allowing growth and development of the boys in a holistic manner.u00a0
