Kenny Dalglish's Reds are set to make a 30-million-pound bid for the Newcastle No 9 if Torres joins Chelsea today, The Sun reports.
Liverpool also plotting a 15-million-pound swoop for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young plus an improved 8-million-pound bid for Blackpool's Charlie Adam.
It is a clear sign that the Merseysiders are already planning for life after the exit of Torres.
