Manchester City confirmed Friday that they have signed striker Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg for 27 million pounds ($42 million)

Manchester City confirmed Friday that they have signed striker Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg for 27 million pounds ($42 million).

The 24-year-old Bosnian has agreed to a four-and-a-half-year deal and could make his debut Jan 15 against Wolverhampton Wanderers. "It has been a long time that I have been linked with the club going back to last summer, but Wolfsburg did not want to sell me until now. I was always attracted most to joining City," Dzeko told the club website.
