Autonomy, who won the MiD DAY Trophy three weeks ago, will face a formidable line up of 13 rivals in the grade 1, Johnnie Walker Gold Label Indian 2000 Guineas, the stellar attraction of a ten-race Sunday card slated at the Mahalaxmi racetrack. English rider Richard Hughes has been specially flown in to ride Jaydev Mody's property trained by Bezan Chenoy, and this is the one test Autonomy has to pass and pass in style if he hopes to revive his challenge for the forthcoming Indian Derby over which, at present, Dr Vijay Mallya's Set Alight has already cast a long shadow thanks to her unquestionable supremacy over the current crop. Autonomy may have to watch two horses closely Fleeting Arrow and Juventus.

The former is a top miler of his age and latter is a horse that has improved tremendously of late. True, there is also the Pune Derby winner Phenomenale, but not having the benefit of a run this season may dilute her performance. Her stable mate, Cest Bon instead may put up a very courageous show although running only the second race of her career. Dancing Dynamite, who went almost stride for stride with Autonomy the last time they met, is unlikely to bother his conqueror this time as Autonomy, who went into that race after a prolonged lay off started by fitness issues, is expected to improve dramatically over that performance.
