With ongoing monsoon fury affecting the region, the absence of a proper bridge continues to put the villagers` lives at risk as they strive to meet their daily needs.

Residents of the Antroli, Niyol and Mohni villages in Surat turned billionaires overnight, after the Central government paid them crores of rupees in exchange for the tracts of their land that were taken over for the ambitious Mumbai – Surat bullet train project.
