 BJP candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat Kangana Ranaut while addressing the public meeting on May 12 claimed India truly got independence in 2014 after BJP came to power. She said that after 2014, Indians got the freedom to make this country a Hindu nation. "... Our ancestors saw the slavery of Mughals, then the slavery of the British and then the misrule of Congress but in the true sense we have got freedom in 2014, we have got independence. Freedom of thinking, freedom of Sanatan, freedom to make your religion, freedom to make this country a Hindu nation," said Kangana Ranaut.
