Buddha Purnima 2024: Thousands Of Devotees Take Holy Dip In Ganga
Devotees took holy dip in Ganga river on the occasion of Buddha Purnima in Haridwar on May 23. Large number of devotees thronged the `Har ki Pauri` to take bath on the pious occasion. Buddha Purnima which marks as the day of incarnation of Lord Vishnu on Earth is being celebrated on May 23. With a belief that bathing in the holy river on Buddha Purnima and worshipping the river gives the benefit of immense virtue, devotees across the country reached the banks of River Ganga in Haridwar in Uttarakhand. Devotees also took a holy dip at Sangam in Prayagraj. The festival is prominently celebrated among the Hindus and Buddhists. Ram Navami 2024: Thousands of devotees throng Ram Mandir to seek blessings
Across the country, Hindus are celebrating the festival of Ram Navami on April 17. A large number of devotees thronged Ram Temple in Ayodhya to take the blessings of Ram Lalla. Ram Lalla is expected to be gifted with ‘Surya Abhishek’ at noon when the rays of the Sun fall on his forehead. Elaborate arrangements were made in the Ram Temple as it is the first Ram Navami after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony which happened on January 22. Devotees are also visiting the Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya to offer prayers on the occasion. Ram Navami is one of the most celebrated festivals by the Hindu community that commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Rama. The day holds special significance among Hindus which falls on the ninth day of Chaitra month, the first month in the Hindu lunar calendar.
