On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information. 

Amid the Israel-Hamas Conflict, after Russia and China vetoed the US-authored draft resolution condemning the terror attacks by Hamas on Israel, Gilad Erdan, the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, said that had these countries endured a similar massacre, they would have acted with much greater force than his nation. “In Israel, we are fighting for our very survival. If any of your countries endured a similar massacre, I am certain that you would act with much greater force than Israel,” he said. “There would be no question in your mind that such a barbaric slaughter requires a broad military operation against the terrorists who committed such inhumane atrocities to eradicate their terrorist capabilities in order to make sure that such atrocities can never happen again,” he added, referring to Russia.
