Cricket fans thronged Pallekele Stadium in Kandy as to witness clash of arch-rivals India, Pakistan. Team India after the Asia Cup will start preparing for the ICC Men`s Cricket World Cup 2023 which will be hosted by India from October 5.  

On September 3, 2024, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Brunei with a historic visit. During his trip, PM Modi engaged in significant discussions with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, reinforcing bilateral ties. The highlight of the visit was a grand banquet hosted by the Sultan at the world’s largest residential palace. The event showcased ‘Food Diplomacy,’ with a diverse array of dishes that reflected global culinary traditions.
