Over a hundred deaths were reported during the third wave at the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai. As per a BMC report on Covid-19 deaths in the hospital, 135 patients died out of the 4,256 admitted between December 1-January 18 and 80 per cent of them were senior citizens.

While the comorbid aged between 45 and 59 years still look hesitant about the vaccine, senior citizens have surpassed all expectations and over 76,000 have been inoculated in the past one week. Meanwhile, the civic body increased the number of volunteers to take care of citizens at various vaccination centres. Authorities said they want to ensure that COVID-appropriate behaviour is observed and that nobody is without a mask.
