On September 8, security forces successfully stopped an infiltration attempt in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. During "Operation Kanchi," Indian troops encountered and neutralized two terrorists in the Lam area making it a major milestone. The operation was carried out after the Indian Army received information from intelligence agencies and the J&K Police about the presence of these terrorists. A significant amount of arms and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized terrorists. This successful operation highlights the effective coordination between the Indian Army, intelligence agencies, and local police in maintaining security in the region. On the Kanwar Yatra route in Hapur, CCTV cameras were installed and security forces were deployed. Vineet Bhatnagar, Additional SP, Hapur says, " ...We have made 5 zones, 17 sectors and 39 sub-sectors, a large number of security forces have been deployed and they will be working in 2 different shifts...traffic has been divided. Control rooms have been made in multiple places...CCTV cameras have been installed..."
