In a conversation for Mid-day`s The Bombay Film Story, actress Sonali Bendre recalled being the comic relief in the action-thriller Sarfarosh with her line `Don`t mind, don`t mind` becoming popular. She spoke about her conversation with director John after he refused to narrate the entire story to her. The actress also spoke about sustaining in a male dominated industry

Sonali Bendre moved to Mumbai with her middle-class family after Class X Boards. Her father was a central government employee, and got regularly transferred. “It was a rough neighbourhood, between Wadala and Antop Hill. Unsafe for me, and two sisters," Sonali recalls in an exclusive conversation with Mid-day. She also talks about 25 years of Sarfarosh, how she landed Humma Humma despite not being a trained dancer and surviving fourth stage cancer.
