WATCH: 3 masked men open fire, loot jewellery worth Rs 11 lakh in Khargarh
In Navi Mumbai`s Kharghar area, a jewellery shop was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night i.e. on July 28th. The incident took place around 10 p.m. when three masked men, dressed in black and armed with revolvers, burst into the store. They threatened and assaulted the staff, firing 4 to 5 shots within just three minutes. Despite the violent nature of the robbery, no one was injured. The entire crime was captured on the shop`s CCTV cameras. The robbers managed to steal jewellery valued at over Rs 11 lakh before fleeing the scene. The Kharghar police have since launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspects. Authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage and gathering information to track down the culprits involved in this daring robbery.
Thane: Robbery Bid At Jewellery Store Foiled By Owner
A robbery attempt was foiled on Monday after a Thane-based jewellery shop owner visited the shop at odd hours for some work and caught one of the accused red-handed. The incident took place at Chendani-Koliwada in the Kopri area. A gang of robbers had rented an adjacent to the jewellery shop on the pretext of setting up a farsan outlet but in six months the burglars drilled a hole in the shop`s wall. On Monday around 1.30 pm, Dilip Kataria, owner of Bhawani Jewellers, visited the shop to collect something. When he opened the shop shutter, he was shocked to find a man inside the shop. He started shouting, nabbed the man and called the Thane Police Control room. Kopri cops rushed to the spot.
