Some of the best works of Ram Gopal Varma have been gangster dramas like Satya and Company, inspired by the underworld. The filmmaker told Mid-day during our Bombay Film Story podcast, that he never attached any judgement while portraying characters inspired by the world of crime. He also said that real gangsters do not care about how they are portrayed in cinema.

Slamming the Western media over the "negative" coverage of Indian elections, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the countries which "have to go to court for deciding election results" are giving "gyan" on conducting polls.
