In the early days of Indian democracy, elections were conducted using traditional paper ballots. But in a bid to modernize the electoral process and enhance efficiency, a significant transition took place – the introduction of Electronic Voting Machines or EVMs. Let`s take a look into how the transition from paper ballots to EVMs in Lok Sabha elections took place.
