After the death of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, Samajwadi Party leader and Mukhtar’s brother Afzal Ansari on March 31 accused the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh, the Police department of the state, and many other officials and leaders of being behind the planning of his brother’s death. He said that Mukhtar was poisoned to death since the leaders in power were jealous of the Ansari family’s history of freedom struggle.         “The government, to cover up its crime, took the help of the media declared Mukhtar fit, and sent him to jail from the hospital. They appointed him a surgeon while there was no surgery case. God will do justice. Because of this cruel murder, the confidence in the BJP among the people of the country and state is finished. PM Narendra Modi recently attended a public meeting in Kolar district of Karnataka ahead of the Karnataka Elections 2023.  In the event, he said that Congress wants to contest elections by comparing me with ‘Snake’ as it has become their agenda for the elections. “Nowadays, I am fighting against corruption which is creating problems for Congress. Congress leaders are threatening me and saying ‘Modi Teri Kabra Khudegi’. Congress’ agenda for Karnataka Assembly polls is poison and snake. And they comparing me with ‘Saanp’ and asking people to vote.”
