 Remembering 2006 Mumbai train bombings, which upturned the lives of hundreds of Mumbaikars on 11th July 2006 forever in a mere span of 15 minutes. Post the 1993 blast, the Mumbai 7/11 train bombings were one of the deadliest terror attacks that Mumbai had seen. The terror attack halted city’s lifeline that targeted first-class suburban compartments during the evening rush hour. However, most remarkable was the heroic efforts of the Railway men on duty who brought back the Railway operations to normal soon after the attack and got back Mumbai on its feet even amidst the turmoil of suffering, loss and trauma. Commonly referred to as 26/11, these coordinated assaults by a group of 10 terrorists did mayhem on the streets of Mumbai and sent shockwaves through the nation and the world. Terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group had entered the city of Mumbai on the night of November 26, 2008. Over the course of four days, they killed 166 people and injured 300.
