Himachal cloudburst: 36 people missing, intense search operation underway

Search and rescue efforts are in full swing in Samej village, Shimla, after a severe cloudburst hit Himachal Pradesh. Since the night of July 31 to August 1, 36 people have been missing due to the Himachal cloudburst and subsequent flash floods that caused extensive damage. The army built a temporary footbridge to help rescue teams cross the river and reach affected areas. Teams from NDRF, SDRF, police, and Home Guard are all working together to find the missing people and provide aid. The situation is critical, and rescue operations are ongoing to support the affected community and locate those who are missing.

Himachal cloudburst: 2 dead & over 50 missing in Shimla, Heavy rains wreak havoc

A cloudburst in the Samej Khad area of Rampur, Shimla, caused major disruption on 1st of August. Due to Himachal cloudburst, more than 50 people are missing, and two bodies have been recovered so far. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has arrived at the scene to help with search and rescue efforts. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu has called a meeting with officials to coordinate the rescue operations and address the situation. The heavy rainfall has caused significant damage and has made rescue efforts challenging. Authorities are working hard to locate and assist those affected by this severe weather event.
