MLAs of Eknath Shinde-faction on July 03 came out of Hotel Trident in Mumbai. A bus carrying Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MLAs were seen leaving for the state Assembly. Also, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and other BJP MLAs arrive at the State Assembly on July 03 to elect the Maharashtra Assembly Speaker. The election for the post of Assembly Speaker will be held today.

BJP candidate Rahul Narwekar has been elected as the new Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on July 03. Narwekar received a total of 164 votes in support. Rahul Narwekar opponent Rajan Salvi bagged 107 votes.
