On the Kanwar Yatra route in Hapur, CCTV cameras were installed and security forces were deployed. Vineet Bhatnagar, Additional SP, Hapur says, " ...We have made 5 zones, 17 sectors and 39 sub-sectors, a large number of security forces have been deployed and they will be working in 2 different shifts...traffic has been divided. Control rooms have been made in multiple places...CCTV cameras have been installed..."

Security beefed up in Ayodhya as the city gears up for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22.  Speaking on security arrangements in Ayodhya, Prashant Kumar, UP Special DG of Law & Order, said on January 21 that over 13,000 personnel have been deployed for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration mega event. He also stated that over 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed. He went on to say that the smooth completion of the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony is both a challenge and an opportunity for the Uttar Pradesh Police. The ceremony scheduled for January 22 will witness the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple. It is expected to be attended by hundreds of officials, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
