A couple and four of their children were hacked to death by a mob of villagers who accused them of practicing witchcraft and making their children sick. The victims were asleep in their mud house in Lahanda village in Keonjhar district, when a group of around five people armed with axes broke in.

A newly married couple was allegedly murdered by the maternal uncles of the woman after they got married against their wishes in Telangana’s Siricilla town. As per police, the victims have been identified as N. Rachana and Harish, who got married over some months ago. Police said that a case has been registered against six persons and more details will be revealed after investigation only
