Devotees flocked to Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with fervent devotion. The festival, which began on September 7 this year, marks the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month `Bhadrapada` and is observed over ten days, concluding with `Anantha Chaturdashi`. The highlight of this year’s celebrations was the unveiling of the first look of the revered Lalbaugcha Raja idol, which drew immense crowds eager to witness and offer their prayers to the majestic deity. Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is a time of vibrant festivities, elaborate decorations, and heartfelt prayers, reflecting the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Mumbai. The Lalbaugcha Raja, renowned for its grand decorations and significant cultural impact, continues to be a central figure in the city’s celebrations, symbolizing the essence of devotion and community spirit.

The ten-day Ganeshotsav festival is underway with great enthusiasm across the country, and Mumbai is celebrating with special fervor. Devotees are visiting Ganpati temples and mandals in large numbers to seek blessings from their beloved deity. On the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi 2024, the famous Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal in Mumbai received a substantial donation of Rs 48,30,000. In addition, they were gifted 255.80 grams of gold and 5,024 grams of silver. This reflects the deep devotion and generosity of the people participating in the festival. The Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal, along with other popular mandals such as Chinchpokli Cha Chintamani, continues to attract large crowds. Many mandals showcased their Ganpati idols with grand processions on Ganesh Chaturthi, which began on September 7. The Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh idol, a central attraction of the festival, draws thousands of worshippers who come to offer their prayers and seek blessings.
