Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Kiren Rijiju, and Mansukh Mandaviya kicked off the `Har Ghar Tiranga` Bike Rally from Bharat Mandapam. The rally ended at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. This year marks the third edition of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which runs from August 9 to 15 to celebrate the 78th Independence Day. Launched in 2022 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav banner, the campaign has grown into a major public movement, encouraging everyone to participate and show their pride in the national flag. On 3rd August, Mumbai witnessed severe rainfall which led to massive waterlogging and traffic snarls across the city. IMD had predicted that Mumbai would likely receive heavy rainfall at isolated places for three days starting Friday 2nd August along with heavy rainfall at isolated areas in Thane. Andheri Subway was shut down for commuters due to waterlogging. On the other hand, city`s seven lakes have already crossed 80% capacity as Mumbai`s water levels have risen significantly.
