Diwali 2023: Extending wishes on Diwali, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden shared a heartfelt message. They lit a ‘Diya’ to “symbolize Diwali’s message of seeking the light of wisdom, love, and unity over darkness of hate and division”. Joe Biden took to X and shared the video of him with Jill Biden celebrating Diwali at The White House. US President Joe Biden is not the only world leader to celebrate Diwali. UK PM Rishi Sunak also celebrated Diwali with wife Akshata Murty at 10, Downing Street. India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met Rishi Sunak on Diwali. EAM presented a cricket bat signed by Virat Kohli to UK PM Sunak.

Diwali 2023 celebrations have already begun at Rishi Sunak’s UK residence. Pre-Diwali celebrations were held at UK’s 10 Downing Street on November 08. UK PM Rishi Sunak invited Hindu community members to the celebrations. His wife Akshata Murthy was also present for the celebrations. Taking to X, Rishi Sunak wished “Shubh Diwali” to everyone across the UK and the world. UK PM Rishi Sunak is a devout Hindu and earlier, he has been publicly seen participating in various Hindu processions. The Hindu community across the world is excited for Diwali celebrations. This year, Diwali will be celebrated on November 12.
