For the third time, a superstructure of Pillar number 9 of the under-construction Sultanganj-Aguwani Ghat bridge collapsed and fell into the Ganges. No casualty was reported. This bridge aimed to connect Sultanganj in Bhagalpur District with Aguwani Ghat in Khagaria District. The foundation stone of the structure was laid in February 2014, by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. It is the third time that the bride has collapsed and the latest collapse of the bridge intensified concerns regarding the quality of construction work.
