In Bahraich, UP, there has been a troubling series of attacks by man-eating wolves over the past few months. Despite ongoing efforts in ‘Operation Bhediya’ to capture these dangerous animals, two wolves are still on the loose. This has caused a lot of fear and distress among residents. Recently, on September 2, a five-year-old girl was killed by one of these wolves while she was sleeping with her grandmother. On the same day, another wolf attacked and killed a 2.5-year-old child in Mahsi village. Additionally, two other people were also attacked and killed by wolves that day. The situation remains critical as the wolves continue to pose a severe threat to the community.

In Bahraich district, villagers are on high alert following a tragic wolf attack that resulted in the death of a young girl and injuries to four others. In response, the community has mobilized to protect themselves. Villagers are conducting nightly patrols armed with sticks, torches, and homemade weapons amid the ongoing UP wolf terror.  To enhance their safety efforts, they are utilizing drones to track the wolf’s movements. These drones, managed by forest officials, help monitor the wolf’s activities and guide efforts to drive it away from populated areas. The use of technology, combined with vigilant community actions, aims to prevent any more incidents and ensure the safety of the residents. The villagers and officials are working together, taking every possible measure to safeguard their lives and properties amid this rising UP wolf terror.
