The BMC has said that Bird flu or Avian influenza has not been found in hens so far. While the results of tests on two crows for the H5N1 avian influenza are awaited and carcasses of two other crows tested positive, the BMC has been flooded with calls regarding inquiries and to report dead birds across the city. Maharashtra became the eighth state to confirm bird flu on Monday after 800 chickens died in Murumba village. Meanwhile, even the new strain of the COVID-19 virus has not deterred commuters from crowding at stations and travelling without proper permission.
