Rani Mukerji reflects on 27-year long career, box office triumphs and stardom
90’s Bollywood diva Rani Mukerji who rose to fame with films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Ghulam’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Black’ spoke to ANI in a special interaction where she gave insights about her 27-year long career, her films, stardom, first anniversary of ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’ and its box office success on March 21 in Mumbai. The actress who is turning a year older also discussed her birthday plans. In the interview, she dismissed the fact that content-driven films are only for OTT and not for the big screen by citing her last release ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’ which was released last year on 17th March. She expressed her gratitude towards the audience for all the love and support they have showered throughout her career and looking forward to celebrating her birthday with her daughter, husband, and family. Talking about the success of her content-driven films like ‘Hichki’, ‘Mardaani’, ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’ she said, “When films like this become successful, we get assured that audience loves to see all kind of films. If we provide them with good content in the movies, they will surely come to the theatre.”

Durga Puja 2023: Celebrities such as Vaibhavi Merchant, Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguli, Rani Mukerji, Sharbani Mukherjee, and Anurag Basu, Sumona Chakravarti of Kapil Sharma show fame among others, were seen enjoying the Sindoor Khela ritual at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Juhu. Bengali queen Rani was seen playing a musical instrument as well. While, director Anurag Basu was seen enjoying the time of his life by dancing to the beat of the dhol. He can also be seen energetically beating the drums. Rupali Ganguli too graced the pandal in a Bengali-style saree, while she left her hair half-clutched. Watch the full video for more!
