In a recent encounter in the forests of Abujhmad, Chhattisgarh`s Narayanpur district, security forces engaged with Naxalites over the past two days, resulting in the deaths of at least eight Naxalites. According to IG Bastar P Sundarraj, eight bodies of Naxalites were recovered, while three security personnel sustained injuries. Tragically, one security personnel lost his life, and the remaining two injured were airlifted to Raipur for treatment, with reports indicating they are now stable. The operation highlights ongoing tensions in the region, where security forces continue to confront Naxalite insurgents in efforts to maintain peace and order.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that Naxal attacks in the country have dipped to its lowest as compared to last 15 to 16 years, after the present NDA Government assumed office.
