Drugs worth 15,000 crores seized by NCB off Kochi coast originating from Pak
In what is claimed to be India’s biggest drug haul in terms of monetary value, NCB seized drugs worth 15,000 crores off the Kochi coast. The seizure was part of ‘Operation Samudragupt’ targeting maritime drug trafficking. 134 sacks of suspected Methamphetamine were recovered from a ship. As per Deputy Director-General of Narcotics Control Bureau, Sanjay Kumar Singh, the source of the drugs is Pakistan. One person, suspected to be a Pakistan national, was arrested by the agencies and an investigation is on.
Sameer Wankhede Decoupled From NCB, Asked To Report To DRI
Indian Revenue Service officer #SameerWankhede has been taken off duty from the Narcotics Control Bureau by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The decision comes days after Wankhede made headlines in the #AryanKhan drug cruise case. The case which was handled by Wankhede involved the arrest of #ShahRukhKhan`s son Aryan Khan, and his friends #ArbaazMerchant and #MunmunDhamecha.
