John Martin Thomas, an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) has been chosen to be responsible of the Lombardy region's Communitary policies by the Italian political party Alleanza Di Centro (alliance of the centre).

He is the first Indian to enter Italian national politics. His duties will include maintaining a political relationship between Italy and the Indian subcontinent and facilitate socio-cultural exchanges between the countries.

He will also be responsible for providing assistance to all foreigners residing in Italy and in their integration.

Thomas is also the editor-in-chief of the first ever-Italian monthly magazine dedicated to Indian cinema Bollywood magazine.

He is also actively involved with other members of the Indian royal families to save the Indian royal heritage buildings Save Indian Royal Heritage.u00a0
